I've been a fan of the land of opportunities, even before I knew it was called UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Before I felt like counting the stars in the STARS n STRIPES flag. Before I knew how to read a comic magazine. Before Osama Bin Laden was given CIA training. Before Americans learned that MCCARTHYISM was bullshit. Before I found the lines in the Asoka blue wheel in our flag confusing. Before American Presidents bombed several countries. Before my Kindergarten Girlfriend and I were torn apart (damn her father, he put her in an all girls school... bloody mallu). Before my mother told me that TOM AND JERRY was not made in India. Before George Herbert Walker Bush became President. Before I read "MADE IN CHINA" on my He-Man Action figure. Before Bruce Timm produced the Batman Animated Series. Before I saw the Superman animated series on Doordarshan. Before TERMINATOR JUDGEMENT DAY. Before Popular Mechanics for kids on Doordarshan. Before Elisha Cuthbert's appearance on Popular Mechanics for kids. Before Adam Sandler entered Saturday Night Live. Before The Beverly Hills Cop. Before my parents knew everything about ABE LINCOLN. Before the COPS show was first broadcasted. Before HULK HOGAN jumped to the cheap WCW. Before I saw Lucky Luke. Before I knew Jonah Hex. Before WONDER YEARS (which I saw when kids my age were not allowed to see or never saw). Before the first telecast of Garfield and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Before I went to an ALL BALLS school for 6Th grade. Before I knew that it was the same guy who was behind the creation of the EIFFEL TOWER was also behind the creation of THE STATUE OF LIBERTY. Before I knew that Miss Liberty was a gift from France. Before some of my elder family friends tried to sound SUPER COOL with the FAKEST accent. Before some friends who put down USA to irritate me. Before people my age started flaunting about the 70's show. Before some friends who were not SUAVE AND GENTLE MANLY. Before I introduced "POP music" to their ears. Before girls changed them into complete men. Before American children learned to fire Arms with ammunition @ schools. Before collecting various imported magazines. Before a Disneyland in Tokyo. Before I was interested in Fashion Photography.
Before George Walter Bush became President. Before my classmates thought about going to USA. Before my classmates were forced to study Engineering. Before I knew I was going to be part of history. Before I knew that I never give up. Before I knew who my grandfather was. Before I remembered my father's face. Before my grandfather died (my mother's daddio). Before stupid people thought he was a KANAKKU PILLAI (the guy couldn't figure what 547 minus 365 was, he only studied till 5Th grade school it seems... heheh RIP Grandpa, I will never forget you). Before Indians began populating every corner of the earth without knowing each other. Before I knew that the weird thing inside the pants was a reproductive organ (weapon of mass destruction). Before Saddam was blamed for hiding weapons of mass destruction. Before The National Rifle Association had 4 million members. Before Indians learned the word STAND UP COMEDY (which is being raped by Indians... almost everyday). Before I had sissy friends.
After the India's "Independence" (thank you Gandhi-joth). After USA lost the first baseball world cup to England. After Americans were interested in GANDHIAN THOUGHTS X-{
(In master Yoda's words... Greatly misguided, they are!)
After Indians stole movies and music from the OVERSEAS (unfortunately, they've been doing this even before some of our parents were born). After I learned that the theme music of THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY was composed by an Italian. After I saw The Good The Bad The Ugly. After the first broadcast of WW(F). And obviously before the AMERICAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS 2008.
I have been to USA (L.A. New York, New Jersey, Las Vegas and back to L.A.) Once. Although I did enjoy the trip as a tourist, it's been a dream to study and work with the highly artistic and creative entertainment industry (BEFORE ANYTHING and EVERYTHING). Unfortunately, things have not been positive for me and when it did seem positive. The economy of USA has fallen deep into Mephisto's realm. I'm hoping the right person gets elected. As it will help both USA and the world's economy greatly and not leave another dark mark in the history books of the future. So that my chance(s) of going to USA will not fall apart completely (it doesn't matter even if I don't go soon, some day I should be able to).
Hope this post was fun, knowledgeable, offending and insulting.
Love you all

SEPTEMBER 11
First of all... A moment of silence for the twin towers and those many sad souls, whose lives was sacrificed by premier GEORGE WALTER BUSH, few years ago.
...
...
...
May "The Asshole" die the most painful death.
Been a while since I put some words out here.
Srivats has left to France. I wish the man all the very best in what he has chosen to do there.
My recent work was to edit a documentary with Srivats. Work was at its best. With quality
output. Where you had a great deal of limits, you try to make it look not so boring. Pretty TIRING stuff.
When you are single for a long time. Then you meet someone and fall in what you both believe is
love. And when its over for GOD KNOWS WHAT REASON. Being single again, is different. Know what I mean?
Moving on and all is nice and wise. Still, SINGLE AFTER BEING DOUBLE is not the same single that you used to be when you said, "NAH, I HATE GIRLS." "NAH. ME? NO WAY! I CAN'T HAVE A GIRLFRIEND." You know, hiding what you really want to be or want to do. "It's hard for me to find the 'sacred place' now that I'm not in the age of love anymore." I'm a raging Cajun, hot rod redneck who is not "trying" you could say. Question is, am I ready for another BUMPY RIDE on the JUST GOT close to HITCHED WAGON ? I don't know. Only time will tell.
Speaking of HITCHED... Some princesses getting busy with finding suitors. A couple of good friends. Good luck to you all. May life not
feel like a pile of junk anymore.
I haven't had luck in flying away for training in film making yet. Either don't get in or do get an offer but wont be able to make it there. Still trying for some best places. Meanwhile, "freelancer" for film and TV production.

Good Place Given Away
This time, the content is in a video that I created. I don't know if it should be referred to as, "a tribute" or not.
Few years back, my ma had managed to get an apartment. Over all usage to-date, LESS THAN 2 MONTHS and 8 DAYS.
Have a look at this:

I'll miss this place. Peeps who've been here, liked the peaceful calmness...

HAPPENING again and
Forget UTV. I felt bombed when I thought SPYGLASS ENTERTAINMENT had let things slip for this movie, THE HAPPENING. But I was wrong. Dammit. I'm glad I was wrong. Everything seems to be pretty cool. 50% of the peeps I know have been reporting that they enjoyed the movie without any appearances of the "microphone." (Came from those who are not in India) But for those of us who are here (in India), our movie theaters do not actually have proper Projection Gates. (Most of our theaters are busy counting money bills, while forgetting to fix their surround sound speakers. I guess some of us expect too much as usual from our beloved ancient land with varied heritage) .
THE HAPPENING now gets 120/100 in my book. (After research and confirmation, some theaters in the USA too had the projection problem, and the 'mic' was seen)
So I end this tiny post by informing you that, there's no one to blame. But the movie theaters. Not the Director, the Cinematographer, the Editor or even the sad Boom-operator. Just the Movie Theaters.

THE HAPPENING - M.NIGHT SHYAMALAN
I'm back with my blog. Nope, my silly keyboard couldn't stop me.
I saw THE HAPPENING, today- June 15Th 2008. I wont say this was a bad movie. It scores many points but gets as much as negative points too. Be sure to get scared when you see the movie. M. Night will give you the creeps. Thats for sure.
The bad part was the "BOOM OPERATOR" or "CINEMATOGRAPHER" or "EDITOR." I'm not sure whom to blame along with M. NIGHT.
You'll be able to see "microphone" often. The microphone is to record the voice of the actors and the person who holds it is called the BOOM OPERATOR. Now this was bad. Super-bad! Our Indian people like to act smart all the time. So these parts of the film where the microphone was noticeable gave them the chance to laugh and shout smart stuff! My problem wasn't even the microphone (not really), but the disturbance from the SMART-DISTURBED CROWD.
Also, the microphone took out the seriousness and stole the spotlight when the actors were at the peak of their brilliant performance.
I am still wondering why did they have to show the microphone so damn much. Of course, I am not proud of this movie. But on the long shot, I'd give it a 99/100. If it wasn't for the "microphone-invasion", it would be a full 100.
Just like, how you tried to freak out yer friends after seeing THE SIXTH SENSE by saying, "I CAN SEE DEAD PEOPLE." I'm not sure this movie is gonna have that much of an effect, but yeah. Some of you will start WALKING BACKWARDS or TALK SILLY (not like you don't do that already) or ACT LIKE A MORON. But you sure wont forget "the invasion of the boom operator."
Be prepared to get scared, wonder about the whole concept and to listen to the smart shouting of people who come to see the movie (because of the mic).
Someone has to right to M. Night. And must let him know about this personally. (again, not that no one would've already asked, but I don't want some lame microphone to be stopping him from becoming the next big film-maker)
Leave that. This movie was touching. Scary. And it will make us remember, that we are part of this planet. The planet and nature are not part of us!

The Mighty Oscars
It was the 80th Academy Awards and it's like DA DAY, for some of us (you guys know who you are). I got to see it at my good friend's place this time. I had already come home the night before and we began talking about you know, WHO'D WIN AND WHO WONT and ended up saying, I THINK THEY ALL DESERVE IT, SO LET 'EM ALL WIN! Well, it was tough competition this year alright. Michael Clayton, There Will Be Blood, Once, Atonement, No Country For Old Men, American Gangster and so many WOWIES this year. And then, time jumped in a flash! It was 5:30 am already, time for the red carpet show.
Starting with my favorites, Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman. They looked amazing. And they were pregnant (which made them look more good). Cate wore a deep purple gown by Dries Van Noten.
I wanted to put a single picture of Nicole Kidman, but there was a pic that I couldn't resist.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban wore BALENCIAGA.
Clutch by Bottega Veneta, 1,399-carat diamond necklace by L’Wren Scott.
(sigh, what a pose)
Julie Christie and Helen Mirren, the two hot grandmas. (Oh I love those dames).
They just looked fabulous.
Julie Christie wore a red Tanya Gill designed dress.
And Helen Mirren in George Chakra. Swarovski crystal sleeves, H. Stern and Fred Leighton jewels, Jimmy Choo “Idol” shoes (exaggerated platform dyed red).
Here's another scoop from the red HOT carpet!
Well, thats as far as I go in-fashion-detail. Here are the precious others at the Oscars.
Harrison Ford and Callista Flockheart.
George Clooney and girlfriend.
Johnny Depp and Vanessa.
And then, the Oscars began. And it was nice to see this man again.
John Stewart. This was his second time, hosting the show.
Ever so creative and bold.
He made sure that everybody gave their winning speech in full.
Never thought he'd point out the OBAMA vs OSAMA thing, I have always wondered and thought it would be cool if Obama won the presidential elections. Well, it was strange that... whatever!
And then... all of it happened and without any expectation, THE ROCK showed up. At the oscars to present an award. I mean, WOW. The Rock. One of my Idols and on top of the list. This sure is an achievement.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
{For those of you who were worried that you'll never see The Rock in the Wrestling scene will not have to worry. This year THE GREAT ONE will be at WRESTLEMANIA 08 to induct his Dad and Granpa into the WRESTLING HALL OF FAME}
Like DUDE WHERE'S MY CAR. And then...
There were great performances of songs, mostly from the wonderful disney movie Enchanted. Amy Adams was at her best on stage.
Here is what you really need to know.
Rattatouille was nominated for more than just one award, which all of us should be proud of.
Golden compass deserved the Visual Effects, no doubt.
Bourne Supremacy did not deserve all the SOUND awards. I was angry that they didn't give either one SOUND award to TRANSFORMERS. 'Cause the sound-editing and sound-recording was perfect and is not that easy to create for a movie like Transformers.
Other than that, George Clooney and Jack Nicholson were THANKED again, by everyone. All four actors deserved the awards. I thought Cate would win again, 2 strong performances. Anyways, Tilda is not a bad actor. So it's okay, it's alright. Javier did a great job, and you dont even have to see NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN to judge that, all you have to see is just the trailer and you'd know it. And I was happy to see NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN win the best picture. It sure deserves to.
It was great to see the Coen Brothers go home with awards for both best direction and best picture of the year. This was their second time to have won the oscar(s).
And finally, I have to say, the set design was of the roof as always, but too good this year. The music was great (thanks to Bill Conti). Great Montages were shown this year. And I missed one man.
We miss you HEATH.
R.I.P.
Be sure to catch his final performance in full role in THE DARK KNIGHT, summer 08. And an upcoming Terry Gilliam movie, which Heath Ledger completed half and rumor has it that the other half will be played by 'a mysterious actor'
(HA! the girls wouldn't know now.)
Well, he was too young to have passed away.
This isn't the best-ever-blog-post, but this sure is one of my fav posts. Gathering info on the fashion and jewels and all. Have a great month everybody. And Happy Birthday to all of you who have yer birthday this month.

HEY! HEY! HEY! DEAD MAN WALKING!
'Tis TRUE THAT I HAD NOT WRITTEN IN A WHILE.
THE BLOG WILL NOT DIE!
JUST 'CAUSE I'M DEPRESSED DOESN'T MEAN THAT I HAVE TO STOP ENTERTAINING MY PEEPS. WHAT IF I LOST JUST 1 WHOM I LOVED. I HAVE LOTS AROUND ME WHO LOVE ME MORE THAN MY GRILL-FRIED EVER DID. AND I LOVE YOU ALL TOO. IT'S JUST, ONE GETS CARRIED AWAY AND ALL EMO-SHIT WHEN YOU'VE BEEN SPAT OUT OF THE PITS OF LOVE.
However, I'm 22 now. And its been like ... uh .... uh ... uh ... Eight months since I split up. I mean forced to split up from and by the one I loved. May be it's time I begin to stop listening to my heart. And start listening to my brain and agree to what my Closest of friends keep telling me.
True, my aspirations were ripped to shreds. But they haven't turned into dust. With all that, I have been able to take STEP 1 in my three-way career. The movies line. I am currently working in a TV show, a special 20 episode serial for JAYA TV. Starring Simran. Which should be on air from MARCH, week 1. I am an Assistant Director. (And no, I don't bring coffee or tissue napkins for my superiors, or I wouldn't consider to use such words as "STEP 1.")
I had only planned the rest of my life with what 2 of us would do in and about our careers. Now that I'm just me, without my other half. Let's see how things work out. Let's see, who does what. As of now, I'm on the lead. 'Cause I'm doing what I love. I've a job from one of my chosen paths. The other things that have been out of shape are my, body and piano skills. Now I can continue to work on them. (As soon as the scheduled shooting dates are over.)
The Comics: The comics project is not dead either. I'm still working on it. Planning for VOL 1 on 3 different titles. Let's wait and see what happens.
My cousin's album has come out for my brother's movie. The Audio Launch was successful. I'm happy for the lads. Thanks for those who were there. Yer support's much appreciated.
J.K. Rowling's gone bonkers or has opted to act like a smarty^panties^sell-out! Or should I say, she is going through M***P****. Poor granny Rowling nana. She wants attention, but in a very intelligent way. I know where she's headed. And it's not a good idea. She doesn't stop it with calling Dumbledore gay. The sixth HARRY POTTER movie has begun and Steve Kloves (the writer) is back to write again. Rowling has read Kloves' script and crossed out a passage in which Dumbledore recalls a past female love, penning in the margin "Dumbledore is gay." I mean COME ON! For the love of Merlin's beard. For crying out loud! We know that nana is intelligent. Now she wants to show that she's smart. I'm sure Sir Mike Gambon who plays Dumbledore in the movie is pretty much disturbed. But he doesn't have to worry about it after this movie is done with. Hopefully. (Or the crazy JK might be waiting to some how say that noble Dd is gay.)
Here is a little something for you potter fans out there:
I wish a lot of men and women out there all the very best. Some have started working, some are planning to study more. I believe most of you have unfortunately become single again. Sad, Sad Times. Let's hope there are better things out there, watching, waiting for us. Hmph. Somethings just can't be helped.
I need to start my language classes as well. Been lousy times lately.
Truth be told: I still haven't lost all hope or love. But love surely doth have lost 'tis tide, after some of the things that went into my ears from the one who used to be my other half. And I have to accept, 'nother yon-lady has caught me sight. Lest see for ourselves, what the future holds.
This might not be a strong comeback, but I guarantee you. That I am not lame anymore. Or will try to be stronger than ever!
THAT IS A PROMISE!
THE BLOG WILL NOT DIE!
