Book Review - Nathan the Caveman by Ben Bishop

Review

Book – Nathan the Caveman by Ben Bishop

I have read Nathan the Caveman three different times (when I was happy, when I was sad & angry and when I was tired). Just to make sure if it had the same effect no matter which way the moods swung. And fellow readers I must say it is a clear winner from my experiment. The story graphics is enjoyable. The way it is passionately written and drawn. This book has been carefully constructed and wonderfully designed, be it the placement of the word balloons or the panels itself. This book is surely one for the vaults and worth every penny you spend on it. One of my favourite characters was the dude. Nathan the Caveman is a great success in terms of graphic novel because it is completely driven by feeling! If you have still not read it, then now is the time to buy it as it is a great read and different from what we read regularly.

Wonder Woman = Preview ?!

It took Tron Legacy, a friend's graphic novel, The great one's return and WONDER WOMAN news for me to come back to my Blog.

Wonder Woman casting news! Adrienne Palicki will play Wonder Woman (a.k.a. Diana Prince) in the new live action television show!

Can't wait for this. I've seen her only in Aquaman [tv movie where Aquaman was played by Justin Hartley from Smallville (green arrow)]. And I have not seen LEGION the movie yet.
I've been waiting ever since they announced that Joss Whedon was gonna write and direct a movie produced by Joel Silver (that was many years ago heh). Then Warner Brothers pulled out and played the safe game or more like "can'...t-make-up-our-mind" game. I don't know why they had their dilemma time (may be the credit crunch had begun around or in the middle of that time).

Finally they must've understood that the fans ARE INDEED STILL WAITING. These kind of shows are completely fan driven. Promising Television Ratings, international network rights (to air) and excellent DVD sales later. You know it will be seen by comic fans, wonder woman fans (both comic and non comic) and new & old perverts (who watched the 70s Wonder Woman show (played by the evergreen Lynda Carter).

I love Wonder Woman and the new show will be my favourite soon too, the girl seems to have good acting experiences on both type of (reality and sci-fi) shows. So I'm expecting her to perform well. Wonder Woman is one of my long time favourite heroes (or heroines if heroes is not used like the word actors to refer to both male and female performers).
A friend asked me if this will be like Smallville. My answer:
In terms of detail, character development, exploring the wonder woman mythology, Yes (it will be like Smallville) and I'm guessing Smallville's succ...ess must've helped them decide to go for a TV Show instead of a movie for the Iconic character. Wonder Woman has so many great stories and excellent rogues gallery too. We might see some other Greek gods appear in the show. Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and the renaissance team pretty much made an excellent new character Xena in the 90s, lets see how they are gonna build the Wonder Woman show. I hope they let Sam Raimi direct some episodes heh it would be fun and entertaining to watch. ‎(Sam Raimi and the renaissance team have nothing to do with this new show, was just comparing)

I have to talk to my Ma about this Adrienne Palicki as Ma is a fan of Supernatural, one of the best television shows ever (that I still haven't finished season 1).

(Video from the JLU, paying homage to the transformation from the classic show)

I was reading about Adrienne Palicki and found:
"she ran track in high school and was named runner-up for homecoming queen. Palicki stands 5'11" (180 cm)", says Wikipedia. Was already liking this casting and now even more so heh.
