Stop Whining!

There are only 9-12 recognised people (out of the continuously spreading billions) who can make a decent film that gets released once in one quarter of a life time in India which can be showcased among world cinema. One of them from the top of such list of nine or twelve is Mani Ratnam. Now, some people may have enormous interest in films and some may think they know about film-making after watching "making of the movie" from a television channel. So they will take things for granted and complain restlessly that a good movie did not exceed their expectations. Well these people can cuff their ankle to a chained cannonball and drop it into the middle of a sea. As for the critics, I have not officially published, but stated in blogposts and radio interviews several times. Critics don't even have a strong theoretical base on their chosen subject (watching movies or reading books written by internationally successful and talented film-makers is not enough), yet they continue to write forgettable reviews for a living. As for the public, if you don't like something, just say "I didn't like it" it just ends with yer opinion. Learn to look at things through a broader viewpoint.
